chasethewind > Parachute (3-4-2009)

So, we went to Troy Night Out last weekend and I saw this cool lamp shade at a boutique. I love it. I'm always trying to see common things in a new light (no pun intended...). Well, keep shooting.
chasethewind > Creepy Ross (2-18-2009)

This past weekend our friends Ross and Jen came and visited us for the long (for some) President's Day Weekend. It was quite fortuitous that my studio light came in time for us all to play with it! I broke this pair of sunglasses at some point and thought they would be an interesting prop for a portrait. I'm sure that I'll put more of the photos from this session on here before long. Keep shooting. As always, let me know if you'd be interested in letting me take a cool portrait of you. Email me (tim@timmassie.com) or leave a comment on here. Thanks!
chasethewind > Jen (2-17-2009)

It was great to see our friends Jen, Ross, Sara and Joe. We visited Cooperstown and took TONS of pictures. This was one of the MANY pictures that we caught. It was also one of the MANY impromptu photo sessions. I absolutely LOVE hanging out with them. Maybe one day we can actually work together. That would definitely be my dream come true. We should really figure out a way to get that accomplished. Anyway, keep shooting everyone! Let me know if you want to take YOUR photo!
chasethewind > Self Portrait - Blue (2-10-2009)

This past weekend we went to the Troy Farmer's Market to try some of the local fare and enjoy a cup of joe with a friend of ours. It's always nice to get out and have a meaningful conversation. Something other than "how about that weather." Find someone to talk to and confide in. It could do you some good. Keep shooting!
chasethewind > New Glasses (2-3-2009)

So, this picture is to showcase our new paint job in our bathroom and to show off my new glasses. I am really starting to like the new BOLD color. It's bright, it's fun and it's a great wake up call every morning. In this moment, I got to really capture the brilliant light as it peaked through the blinds. I love the high key light. As far as my glasses, they were the only ones that I could find that I liked on my face. I guess that means they're the ones for me! Ok all... Keep shooting!
chasethewind > Spencer Session II (2-8-2009)
chasethewind > Soon it will be three! (10-22-2008)

One of our friends wanted me to take a couple portrait of her and her husband before she had her baby. While it was a gorgeous day and the fall foliage was in full color, we took complete advantage of this textured side of their shed. I loved the contrast between their blue shirts and the peeling, distressed red paint. I felt honored to be asked to provide such a service at such a special time in their lives. I hope you enjoy. Keep shooting, eveyone. Also, my offer to take your (ie: the reader's) picture. I'd love to try something out. It could make a good holiday gift!
chasethewind > Nick Argyros (2-3-2008)

This guy is a character... This is Nick Argyros, the founder and owner of the Photocenter in Troy, NY. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, creative and just a fun guy to be around. For this picture he was laughing and joking around, and just as I clicked the shutter, he starred right at me. Gotta love 'Candid' shots. You have to go see the Photocenter on the last Friday of every month for Troy Night Out. You'll meet all sorts of great people and see some great art. Check out their website at www.photocentertroy.org . Keep shooting
chasethewind > Just You and Me, Kid (9-7-2008)

This picture was taken by a friend at church for the small group leaders pamphlet (as I couldn't have been taking it myself). And so, the implication is that Amanda and I will be leading a group this coming year. And indeed we are. I think it's exciting and awesome that so many leaders have decided to dedicate their time and energy to build our church community. It's such an intregral part of a church (and our individual walks with God) to be growing closer in small groups to encourage and pray for each other, to speak into each other's lives, to journey through life together, to worship together, to dive deep into the word of God, and to proclaim the promises of our Heavenly Father. If you are someone looking for a group of people who will care about you, we'll be meeting on Tuesdays in a few weeks. I'm thrilled and I know that God is going to do more that Amanda and I could think or imagine. Let Amanda or I know. (Taken with my D80).
