chasethewind > Fiery Rust (2-24-2009)

First post of one of my pictures from my "new" Mamiya C33! I went to scan a roll of slide film and this was in the first two that I scanned. Then....the second set started screwing up. This stupid scanner has been hiccuping a few times since I got it. Oh well. I shouldn't complain. I feel quite blessed to even have the possibility to scan. I'm hoping to get some of the portraits from that roll up soon. Try and guess what this is a picture of...Keep Shooting!
chasethewind > In His Father's Eyes (1-22-2009)

In the eyes of his father, a son has potential, love and hope. A child is a wellspring of joy. A place of constant mystery. A source of understanding. A humble father cannot help but be amazed by what beauty God creates from the love of a man and a woman. He grows to understand how God must feel about us. God sees us as his children....so much potential, love and hope. That He too would give so much for him (us). He gave up His place at the throne, and came to earth...so that we would be closer to Him. So that we would come to see the treasures that He has stored up for us. Perhaps not physical treasures, but those that last for eternity.............Keep Shooting.
chasethewind > Don't lose focus, stay on track (1-7-2009)

So, I hadn't put a picture up in a while and today I've also decided to put up a non-portrait up. I mostly wanted to post this one because I love how part of the bottom left is still somewhat in focus. I guess I love what you can do when you're not even expecting it. I shot this from below my hip as I was walking.....with a various heavy pieces of equipment. Anyway....it's 'kind of a big deal.' Keep shooting.
chasethewind > Magazine Shoot (7-22-2008)

Nope, this is not a commercial photoshoot. This is what my Saturday looked like while taking pictures at my friends' wedding down in Charleston, South Carolina. It was a great time. Beautiful beaches, good food and new & interesting company. So many different people from all over the country and the world. The bride and groom looked beautiful and I'm sure were very pleased with how the day went. Hopefully, I'll get to visit and become better friends with all the great people that Amanda and I met. And for those of you who attended the wedding, let me know if you want pictures and I'll try to contact you about getting them. This picture was shot with my D80 of the bride, groom, 'official' wedding photographer, and photographer's assistant. I like to believe I caught all the moments he missed or didn't see. :-)
chasethewind > Young Wedding (11-2-2008)

On their wedding day, I have the pleasure of taking pictures for Rich and Betty. It was a quant and intimate ceremony, where I had great opportunity to meet a nice, genuine couple. God Bless, you guys. Keep shooting everyone else, and remember the special moments in life.
chasethewind > Do you like to dress up? (11-1-2008)

Where have I been for the past week plus? I just found my way out of a whirlwind of insanity. Life just been busy. Not to use that as an excuse, but... At any rate, Amanda got dressed up for halloween, as you can see. She's been wanting to sport the wedding dress for quite some time and there's no better time than on halloween. It's great! No matter what you wear, it's somehow acceptable. It was fun taking pictures of her around the house in her wedding dress. This was taken between trick-or-treaters with my camera atop a tripod, a long exposure and a powerful flashlight. (Sorry if I got it in your eyes, Amanda. You're a good sport.) Keep shooting!
chasethewind > Sene's Birthday (10-17-2008)

Happy Birthday Sene! Last night, Adam took our lovely guest, Sene, out to dinner. It was a beautiful night, and I heard they had a great time. I'm glad I had the honor of taking their picture before they went out for an evening of fun. Well, keep shooting everyone. Anyone interested in being photographed? (On a side note: CONGRATULATIONS to my brother and sister-in-law, their son, Spencer, was born earlier this afternoon!)
chasethewind > Dance! (12-7-2008)

It's been a while since I've put something up here, but I make no excuse for why I haven't....even though I could.... Anyway. I thought this was a great photo I took from the recent Gala for the Albany Center Galleries. They had a fantastic couple giving demonstrations of many different dances. As they lit up the floor, a multitude of us non-dancers sat back in our 1920's-1950's outfits watching in awe of their grace. I wish I could dance that well. Alright, everyone. Keep shooting.
chasethewind > Photo Phaces (12-8-2008)

Another picture, I'm on a roll... It seems we all have our own face we like to give for photos. These two young ladies LOVE to ham it up! What's your face or should I say...phace? Keep Shooting.
